Rare Massim Headrest

57. A very rare form of headrest from the island of Nuakata on the edge of Milne Bay. Dating to the 19th century and formed from a well chosen natural branch. The British Museum has a similar example collected in 1888 by Henry Ogg Forbes. Museum number Oc,+.3835.
