A large, rare spear from West Papua. this spear has a metal tip which may have been added during its tribal life? some spears from this region are pictured with metal tips in early illustrations. The Tropenmuseum has a very similar spear in its collections, Object number TM-504-74. Some small loss to the barbs. One of the holes that would have held feathers or material is worn through. It has not been cut and re-joined at all.
