Kuba Box

A very old Kuba box. It has a layered patina from generations of use. Both ends of the box have cracked over the decades. The handle is carved as apposing heads and whole surface with interlocking designs. If this box was European it would be 17th-16th century at least! most of these are tentatively described as 19th century but this example could be much earlier.
